Corrections

Credibility matters more than pretending to be perfect. When LaoBrief publishes something wrong, we fix it and we tell you.

How we correct

  • We correct mistakes as quickly as possible, once we have checked that they are wrong.
  • When an error is significant (a figure, a name, a date, or a fact that changes the meaning of the article), we add a correction note to the article and list it in the log below, with the date.
  • We don't silently change major factual errors.
  • Small spelling or formatting fixes that don't change the meaning may be made without a note.
  • When the facts change, we update the article, and it shows when it was last updated.

Report an error

If you find a mistake, please contact us and tell us:

  • the link to the article,
  • what you think is wrong,
  • a source that shows the correct information, if you have one.

We check every report. Every correction is approved by the LaoBrief team.
