Sponsored content policy

Trust is worth more than short-term advertising revenue. These are LaoBrief's rules for sponsored content.

Always labelled

Anything that is paid for or sponsored carries a visible label, such as "ເນື້ອຫາສະໜັບສະໜູນ / Sponsored" [FOUNDER: confirm label wording], with the sponsor's name. You should always be able to tell editorial content and sponsored content apart at a glance.

Same standards

Sponsored content follows the same standards as everything else we publish:

• at least one source,
• no misleading or exaggerated claims,
• images with alt text and credits,
• reviewed and approved by the LaoBrief team before publishing.

Editorial independence

• Commercial relationships never secretly influence the conclusions of our editorial articles.
• Sponsors cannot have editorial articles changed or removed. [FOUNDER: confirm]
